Wonderful as always. Excellent welcome. Had starters and mains. Both lovely. The veg was super, stir fry style but really nice. They were very busy but fit us in without any difficulty. All round super experience as ever. X

The staff go above and beyond. I had forgotten my jacket and a wonderful woman who was cleaning the room ran out to give it to me. Thank you so much. You’re a wonderful human :)

Lovely hotel, nice bar area, just had a ham and cheese panini which came with chips and salad for £9 which was lovely. Even though we had a room over the front car park it was very quiet up till about 8-8.30 (sunday). Breakfast was lovely, cooked for £12.50 or continental for £6.50. Very tasty and great views down the valley

Just spent two nights in the hotel. Staff very professional and friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfasts and the evening meals were very enjoyable and the bar very well stocked. Room was a bit dated but to be expected in an old building. Very convenient location for sightseeing. Will definitely visit again

Came here for a murder mystery dinner on the weekend. A lovely pub in a convenient location. Plenty of parking and the staff were friendly and attentive. Gorgeous views looking out from outside. Catered well for vegans too.

Really enjoyed our stay in early August 2025. Booked up having found the hotel online. We had never been to the area before and needed a good place to stay as a base for visiting Hereford, Hay-on Wye and other places in Wales. Have got to say, that we were very pleasantly surprised and pleased with the Pilgrim Hotel. Initially while booking online, I phoned the hotel for clarification on details and was immediately impressed by the reception lady who was very warm and professional. The location was great with amazing views from our room at the back and the restaurant looking out towards the Brecon Beacons. The room was very clean and well presented. The staff were all really welcoming and helpful. Nathan behind the bar was especially personable. The breakfast was great, with good choice and cooked options included with our booking. The evening dinner went beyond our expectations. As a fan of localism, we were really pleased that they recommended the local store and Post Office 'The Carrot & Wine Store' in Wormelow, which is 5 minutes away and fully stocked with wine and deli as well as local store essentials. Definitely recommend the Pilgrim Hotel & Valley Restaurant. So much so, we'll be going back soon.
